As much as I hate the title of EpicWin, it's the only app I've ever waited for the release of. Or, I should say, waited up for: the US release was about 11:30 EST.
The concept of the app is intriguing, and much related to the talk by Jesse Schell on the future of gaming. For the tasks ("quests") you accomplish in real life, you level up your character.
Great design and illustration by the visual designer of PlayStation's Little Big Planet, RexBox.

Backpacking (with friends) is wonderful. You have to worry about a few more things you don't normally worry about, but you also don't have to worry about other things that you might normally have to concede to. If you're prepared enough you can forget the world outside your little patch of woods.
